h&m midseason sale

I think it's no secret that I love H&M. So when they have a sale, I am so there, especially now since they finally have online shopping! Their midseason sale has tons of items for great prices, but you have to act fast- 2 items in my cart were sold out by the time I checked out! Here is what I got:

h&m mid-season sale

How awesome is it that these mustard lined sneakers were only $10? I can't wait to wear them this fall! I have been coveting the green and gold version of this short sleeve sweatshirt top since I featured it when H&M shopping first went online. I had a small of it in my cart and by the time I was ready to check out it was gone. Darn! I'll look for it in the store next time, though, and in the meantime, I happen to like the blue version too. I saw these sweatshirts inside the store and they looked nice and comfy and oversized, but I'm so glad I waited to find them marked down for $10! I also love this chain ring. I'm always wearing big rings, but this one is so cool and different because it looks like stacked midi rings, but they'll all stay lined up perfectly. And finally there's these pants. I have my pair of coated plum colored jeans which I absolutely love, so here's hoping I'll love these brown ones too!

Did you check out the sale or do you plan to?

Zulily Labor Day Sale

I am trying to be on a spending break, and I was doing really well, too. Even avoiding buying anything from all the Labor Day sales going on this weekend. But then I got the email from Zulily about their big blowout sales, and by big think HUGE, and I couldn't resist. Zulily definitely isn't just for moms, it's for all women (although they do have some great stuff for moms too! One day when I am pregnant, this will be the first stop I make for maternity clothes). The prices are so great right now, and there is so much to look through, it's a bit overwhelming. I dare you to go through everything and not find something you love and want to buy. Because it's impossible not to. There is so much I loved, but I limited myself, and this is what I got:

All of this was only $55. The first dress was only $6.99!! How could I resist? I love the bright sunny yellow dress, and I could definitely wear this to weddings or showers, as well as more casually or even while student teaching. I have been looking for a blue chiffon pleated skirt EXACTLY like this for some time, so to find it for only $10 was amazing. The top is nice and long and flowy and would be perfect with skinny jeans. And I need a new bag to take with me to grad school classes at night, because the one I have now is getting worn out, and this is perfect!

If you check out the sales there, let me know what you find! :)

h&m online shopping is here!

Are you as excited about this as I am? I love H&M. They have great, simple pieces for any wardrobe that would each work with a various amount of outfits- definitely remixable pieces. And the best part is how affordable most of their items are! If you sign up for their emails now, you'll get free shipping until August 15th!!

I put together some great Fall pieces that I love that are available from H&M right now. Now's the time to start shopping for Fall, and if I had a bigger budget, I'd love to get all of these! For now, I bought the black long sleeve burnout top and the necklace featured here, for only $11 total. I'm sure I'll go back for more before the 15th because of the free shipping.

1 shirt 5 ways

Top

Top (clipped to polyvore.com)

I picked out this shirt this morning from RueLaLa with the $25 credit I had. Cute, right? I decided to plan out some different outfits I could make with it. I will say it again if you're not already using it- Polyvore is such a great tool! Whenever I buy purchases online, I'm able to just click the 'clip to polyvore' button on my toolbar and on it goes under my liked items there. I also keep it updated with the items I already own buy in stores by finding the exact pieces or look-alikes to also save under my liked items. Then I can create outfit sets whenever I want (or wherever I want on the iphone app). And the interface is great. This isn't a sponsored post in any way, by the way, I just love Polyvore!

Anyway, here are 5 outfits I created with this one top, and all of the items are the exact or based on pieces I own. Hopefully it can give you an idea of all the ways you can style a similar top!

For the first look, I wanted to have one with long pants, so I decided to use my mustard yellow pants. I also love pairing the navy and white striped scarf with the top for a cute nautical look, and the scarf looks great with the pants as well!

I love the idea of pairing this top with a long black skirt for an effortless chic vibe. I paired with very simple gold and black accessories to keep it more casual.

The third look is more of a fun summer look, pulling in different colors with the sandals and the anchor necklace. It's a cute summer casual look.

For the next look, I kept it all black and white. It's still casual, but on the dressier side.

Finally, I paired the top with blue shorts and sandals, and my steamboat wheel necklace that I wore in my last post. I think it looks great with blue as well.

Disneybound Day 12/April 12th Outfit

Today the rain continued as it has every day this week, and it's actually quite chilly today. I had to teach a lesson in the preschool class I work with, so I had to look nice and professional.

Daisy Duck

I love this outfit. This was my first opportunity to wear these new pants and I really love them. I wouldn't have thought I'd ever wear orange pants, but I love this shade. And this top is one of three in different colors that I got from eBay for $2.50. Can you say amazing? Check them out for yourself in the link below. I got this necklace from Loehmann's and I can tell it's going to be a staple in my profess wardrobe because of its simple elegance. I think I love this outfit so much because I love all of the pieces individually, and I also think it matches Daisy perfectly. When I feel confident because of my clothes I do think it helps me be a more confident teacher.

Top: eBay (exact)
Pants: Carson's (similar, similar)
Shoes: crocs (exact)
Necklace: Loehmann's (similar, similar)
Bracelet: purchased in Cozumel (similar, similar)

I went to add this bag to my shopping cart about a week ago and when I did, the price went from $20 as listed to $5 in my cart! I was so excited, and I have the bag in person now and it's adorable! I guess it just goes to show that it doesn't hurt to add things to your cart in case.

Find the bag here.

ebay

I’ve been using ebay more and more lately, and I’m really happy with all of the purchases I’ve made from there so far. I find it especially useful if you’re looking for something specific, because chances are good that you’ll find it. For instance, I was looking for a red cardigan and found one for just a few dollars that was perfect and less than the price I’d find in any store. If you go in just to look, it can be overwhelming. I avoid the auctions and just do the “buy it nows”. Some tips that I have would be to read the descriptions thoroughly, check the seller’s rating, and check the shipping costs. Ebay can be a great way to find what you need for a fantastic price!

Coated Jeans

At first I was a little scared at whether or not I could pull off this trend. But finally I decided I wanted to try it. I searched and when I found this pair at Kohl’s I was sold and had to buy them. I got them in the mail today, tried them on, and immediately fell in love. They are perfect for giving your outfit a little extra edge but without going crazy. I think I’ll be wearing these a lot.
